“Wellness isn’t about overcoming what makes us human—it’s about honouring it.”

I’m Kasha, a mother, wife, RN, Registered Clinical Counsellor, clinical leader, certified health coach, yoga and fitness instructor, speaker, author, and advocate. I’m also a woman who knows, personally and professionally, that life doesn’t always go as planned.

For over 20 years, I’ve worked at the intersection of healthcare, leadership, and human vulnerability. My clinical experience spans critical care, mental health, long-term care, palliative settings, education, and system-level leadership roles. I have supported individuals, families, and interdisciplinary teams through crisis, transition, grief, and profound uncertainty. Alongside my nursing career, I now practice as a therapist, walking with people through burnout, caregiving, trauma, loss, identity shifts, and the quiet unraveling that often happens behind competent, capable lives.

I have sat at bedsides and at boardroom tables. I have also worked in health advocacy at the parliamentary level, contributing to policy conversations and writing publications intended to influence system change. This work has included amplifying patient and caregiver voices, challenging inequities in access and care, and translating lived experience and clinical knowledge into language that decision-makers cannot ignore. Across every role, what has mattered most has never been a title. It has been my commitment to presence, dignity, and meeting people exactly where they are.

I am the co-creator of the MASH Movement, which stands for Movement, Awareness, Service, and Health. It is a heart-led initiative rooted in advocacy and community, created in honour of my son, who lives with a life-limiting neuromuscular disease. Loving and advocating for him reshaped everything I thought I knew about wellness. It taught me that wellness is not optimization or balance. It is compassion in motion, a moment-to-moment practice of honouring our humanness, including grief, rage, tenderness, resilience, and joy, often all at once.

My lived experience as a caregiver, combined with decades in healthcare, leadership, and advocacy, has revealed a hard truth. Many of our systems are not built to hold the full weight of the human experience. They often fall short for those who are grieving, caregiving, burned out, or living with chronic stress and illness. My work, both clinical and creative, is about helping to create spaces that do better. Spaces rooted in dignity, justice, nervous system safety, and genuine care.

I don’t believe people are broken. I believe people are carrying more than they were ever meant to hold alone. In a world that rewards productivity, composure, and quiet suffering, I offer something different. A place to slow down, exhale, untangle, and be met as a whole person rather than a problem to be fixed.

My approach is grounded in a person-centered, trauma-informed, biopsychosocial framework that integrates evidence-based practice and clinical experience with compassionate presence. I work with the nervous system, the body, the story, and the context, because healing does not happen in isolation from the systems and relationships that shape us.

If you are exhausted from holding it all together,
If you long to be met beyond your diagnosis, your role, or your resilience,
If you are navigating caregiving, burnout, grief, transition, or the heaviness of being human,

You are in the right place. I’m so glad you’re here.
