Meet Kasha

“Wellness isn’t about overcoming what makes us human—it’s about honouring it.”
— Kasha Mitton

I’m Kasha—a mother, wife, therapist, coach, nurse, yoga and fitness instructor, speaker, author, advocate, and a woman who knows, firsthand, that life doesn’t always go as planned.

For over 20 years, I’ve journeyed alongside people in their most vulnerable moments—in hospital rooms and hospice beds, on yoga mats, through crisis calls, quiet grief, and the messy middle of transformation. My background is diverse, but what I carry most deeply is not a title—it’s a promise: to meet you with presence, to hold space for your truth, and to honour your story just as it is.

I’m the co-founder of the MASH Movement—Movement, Awareness, Service, and Health—a heart-led initiative created in honour of my son, who lives with a life-limiting neuromuscular disease. It’s through loving and advocating for him that I’ve come to understand the deepest meaning of wellness. Not as a goal or performance, but as a radical act of compassion. A moment-to-moment honouring of our humanness—grief, rage, resilience, joy and all. My journey has taught me that real wellness isn’t found in a perfect body or a balanced schedule—it’s in the fierce tenderness it takes to keep showing up, in the grief and gratitude that live side by side, and in the quiet moments when we choose to care for ourselves even when everything feels uncertain.

My lived experience as a caregiver and my years in healthcare have revealed a hard truth: our systems are not built to hold the full weight of our human experience. They often fail to support those who are suffering, grieving, caregiving, and surviving. So we must create new spaces—spaces rooted in gentleness and justice.

I don’t believe people are broken. I believe people are carrying more than they were ever meant to hold alone. And in a world that rewards polished exteriors and quiet suffering, I’m here to offer something different: a place to exhale, unravel, and land—just as you are.

To me, wellness is not a checklist or a trend. It’s the sacred exhale in a body that has known tension. It’s holding presence with your body, your story, your nervous system, and your truth. It’s permission to be both messy and magnificent, uncertain and still enough.

My work is grounded in a person-centered, biopsychosocial approach that blends the science of brain and behaviour with the art of compassionate witnessing.
